... well, maybe a little. I made a temporary fruit bowl out of a colander I wasn't using, and it's stuffed full after my trip to Aldi last night. There's a bag of potatoes and onions on there as well. I suppose I'll need to plan to have some baked good on there as well. The cinnamon rolls are gone, but now there's a cake that Picasso baked yesterday. But I had room on there last night to prepare last night's dinner (curry) and tonight's (pot roast). And I have the crock pot on there with dinner cooking now. Did I mention I love my crock pot?
Today has not started well. Cassatt ended up in bed with us (again) but was trying to crawl to the floor at 5:30 so I put him in his crib. Then Picasso came in, and was somewhere between playing in the living room and climbing on us until we pulled ourselves out of bed at 7. Usually Picasso is good at playing by himself, he can stay occupied for hours with his trains or blocks. But his trains are put away now (I suppose I'll have to get them out) and we discovered that he had drawn on the arms of the couch and chairs this morning. Pen marks everywhere. Daddy wanted to clean it up immediately so the pen marks wouldn't set in; I wanted Picasso to clean it all up. After about 30 minutes of wet-noodle Picasso, he won out, and went to bed. At least he's in bed now, sleeping I think. And daddy won out, he cleaned up 5 of the arms. There is one left for Picasso to do, he'll get to work on it again after he gets up and has breakfast.
Today I plan to get caught up on laundry, get back to cloth diapers for Cassatt. Then I think I will work on cleaning up the bedroom (when Cassatt's not sleeping) and my office (when he is). And maybe post about the Yogurt Cake.

Kitchen thoughts
Looking at the last post, I realize there are a few things I need to find "homes" for:
- the dirty laundry (rags, kids dirty clothes that don't leave the dining room) that always piles up
- spices
- fruits and vegetables that don't go in the fridge
Project: Kitchen Counter 1
OK, so here is my kitchen counter:
It's kind of hard to see with the window behind it, but here is what I have to put away or throw away:
- 1 cantalope
- 1 empty glass jar
- cinnamon rolls from breakfast
- 1 empty egg c arton
- 1 apple
- 2 onions
- 1 bag of black beans
- 1 sponge ball
- 2 bunches of bananas
- 1 paint chip
- 1 onion turning green
- a bag of broccoli
- a ton of spices on the windowsill
ADDSarah gets it together
OK, I'm going to change this blog -- not a "generational" blog anyway. I had a talk this morning and decided I need to clean things up -- not only declutter, but do it slowly, keep track, and be accountable. I'm going to try to do photos on here, to know what's going on.
And now it's even more urgent. W just got into my vitamins. Fortunately he didn't take too many (I already called poison control) ... but my pills were in the jumble of "stuff" on the kitchen table that needs to be cleaned up. Ugh.

What are you doing?
I am trying to make it my mantra to "do one thing and finish it".
So when hubby asked me a minute ago "what are you doing?", I sighed. What was I doing?
So when hubby asked me a minute ago "what are you doing?", I sighed. What was I doing?
- writing a letter to clients
- checking e-mail
- looking t blogs
- checking my work to-do list
Yup, I was doing all the above. And now I'm writing a blog post. And I never seem to finish anything.

Things Children Do
My 2 year old loves playing with laundry baskets. Don't ask me why, but they are great for imaginary play. They can be a body of water, a train car, a car, a train ... the possibilities are endless.
This morning there was only one laundry basket upstairs, and it had his socks in it. (I had folded them last night and left them in the basket after he was sleeping.) Lo and behold, while I was making breakfast I found him playing in the laundry basket. I asked him what happened to the socks, and he told me he had put them away. Doubting that, I checked my bedroom, where the basket had been. No socks on the floor. I asked again, where were the socks? He told me again that they were put away.
Yup, they were in my sock drawer. At least they were clean!

Trying Again
One of the great things about ADHD is it's just so ... so ... unpredictable. I haven't updated this blog in how long?
But I've just gotten involved in a new (private) ADHD support group, and realized that the information I'm sharing there, I should post wider, or blog about it. And, surprise, I already have an ADHD blog. SO ... I'm going to revive this one, and post more about ADHD struggles. Maybe this can even become a living blog. We'll see.
